A System Upgrade is Comming Soon!
Dates: October 31st 2025 - November 3rd 2025
Dear Members,
As announced , we are upgrading our core processing system starting on November 1st, 2025.
This project is a major undertaking for our staff and technology partners as it affects all aspects of our operations. In addition to our core processing system, which is the technology used for transaction processing and maintains our shares and loans, we are also upgrading our online banking, mobile app, remote deposit capture, and bill pay.
We know this is an inconvenience for our members but hope you will be patient as we work through this process. We are excited to move through this process as it will provide greater functionality for members, additional products and services, as well as streamlined daily processing.
Once complete, members will enjoy advances in our technology products, quicker processing times, and more self-serve options.
We will be closed for Nov 1st - 3rd 2025 to allow us to complete the upgrade process. During this time you will not have access to our online services , Service centers and debit and ATM cards. However, we will work as quickly as possible over the weekend to bring these services online as soon as the process is complete. We are also providing additional phone support for the weeks following the conversion by partnering with our new provider’s call center. Just call the Credit Unions main line (313) 963-6060 and you will be routed to a Michigan-based experienced staff who can assist with any questions you may have. Call center reps will NOT be able to take online payments, Please go to EWCU.net to make an online payment.
The call center will be available Nov 4th - Nov 17th , Members will need to be verified . Please have your Account number and Last 4 of the primary account holders SSN.
While change is always hard, rest assured our staff will work hard to make sure the issues are minimized and our systems are aligned with member expectations.

Bill Pay will be Unavalible - TBD* - All Payees, Ebills, Amounts & ect will NOT Transfer over to the new System. We advise to copy down current payees, Ebills and payments. Any Payments Scheduled after 10/27/25 will not be paid. Please plan ALL CASH NEEDS prior to 10/31/25 |

What to expect!
- Upgraded online and mobile banking with fully integrated bill pay and Quicken® downloads
- Online banking - Reset your user name and password without calling the CU.
- Add messages to your account transfers.
- "Jump" to other accounts you are joint on without logging out of your primary account.
- Set up recurring transfers without calling the CU.
- Download account activity.
- Review loan payoffs. Request additional accounts and loans
- Close on loans from home!
- Restrict the use of your Debit card if lost or stolen and remove the restriction when you find it (Coming Feb 2026)
- Transfer funds to another member with in the CU
- Remote deposit Capture (Mobile Deposit)
- Account 2 Account transfer (A2A) and Person 2 Person (P2P)
- A new User friendly Online banking and mobile app (itsme247)

IMPORTANT CHANGES
Bill Pay - Bill pay payees, Ebills and payments will NOT transfer over with the new system, We advise to copy down current payees, Ebills and payments. ANY BILLED SCHEDULED AFTER 10/27/2025 WILL NOT BE PAID - You will need to reenroll into Bill pay with the new Online banking
Account Numbers - Your 4 Digit Base Account Numbers will remain the same but your check digit will change. Your current MICR line is changing to a 14 digit MICR Line - currently 8 digit MICR Line. Any checks you have after Nov 1st 2025 with still work with your account but once those run out call us so we can order new checks with the new MICR.
ACH or Direct Deposit - Current ACH or Direct deposit transactions will NOT be affected.
New ACH or Direct deposits:
- SAVINGS - Add the new suffix to the end of the account number ( See "Bank" tab for examples and more info)
- CHECKINGS - Please use the new 14 digit Micr ( See "Bank" tab for examples and more info)
Account Suffix - We are no longer using an alphabetical suffix system, so be on the look out for your new suffix. ( Example comming soon)
! IMPORTANT REMINDER !
Shared Branching
Shared Branching services will be disrupted during our systems upgrade. Shared Branching will go offline starting Friday October 31st 2025, and should resume Tuesday November 4th 2025. During the outage, EWCU members will not be able to perform any transactions at Shared Branching locations locally or nationwide.
To find the Shared Branching location nearest you, visit sharedbranching.org or call 1-888-748-3266. You must have your EWCU account number and driver’s license for service at a shared branch
ATM and DEBIT cards
ATM and DEBIT card services will be disrupted during our systems upgrade. ATM and DEBIT cards will go offline starting Friday October 31st 2025, and and Should resume : TBD 11/3/25 or 11/4/25. During the outage, EWCU members will not be able to perform any transactions .
Please plan your cash needs prior to 10/31/25 - We adivse using credit cards during this period.
ACH or Direct Deposit timing
Our upgraded system will have the ability to post ACH deposits to member accounts multiple times per day; however, the timing of the deposits will change somewhat with the system.
